Workshops/ Master Classes
I give a workshop or master class at NBPY once a month. I also give workshops and master classes for other studios that have invited me to appear. The workshops are intended for deepening one's personal practice, or could be used to help start a new yoga practice. It's also about being open minded and trying something new once and awhile. Because yoga is widely diverse in its avenues and ways to practice, the purpose of the workshops will be to show a deeper experience based on my own personal findings. I definitely don't know everything about yoga and I am not pretending to have such knowledge, but I have found that some of the best ways to further one's yoga practice is through one of these intensive workshops or master classes. Retreats
Retreats are experiences that come directly from my personal experiences, practices and trainings that I have been through over the years. The retreats are about getting fully immersed into our bodies and minds, which I believe is the best way to deepen one's own understanding. To get those really deep experiences, we need ample amount of time to do that, therefore we take 5-7 days and get completely lost in yoga practice. The retreats are a combination of sweaty asana, meditation and satsung (yoga conversation). The long journey into yoga can be one of the most powerful tools that helps unlock the inner voice and the wisdom to listen to it. Our bodies and minds are so incredibly complex, but they come with an innate wisdom that is waiting to be heard. A lot of times we just need to break through the walls and barriers that we have built up physically and mentally over the years. To do this, we use our yoga practice. If you are looking to have a deep experience, or if you know someone who could benefit from starting a yoga practice, send them the workshop and retreat link.
Teacher Training
I get asked a lot about teacher trainings. In the past, I have taken on one student at a time and shared my experiences and knowledge of yoga with them. I have built my own unique style of Power Yoga based on my experiences and trainings that I have gone through. Anytime I'm training someone to teach, I am simply handing them the tools that I have found most useful in my classes. I believe teaching is a combination of the right ingredients and methods implemented into a class setting. When I train students to be teachers, they are receiving the combination and methods that have worked for me; this does not mean in any way that my way is the best or the only way. Throughout the years I have refined my classes through trial and error and I give my experiences and recommendations of how to share yoga with other people. If you are interested in teaching and enjoy what I share and the way I share it, please submit your application/info to us online, or meet with me after a class. Also, we are working on creating a group training program; if this is something you are interested in, submit your application/info and we will give you the details.
